BLACKSBURG, VA, JULY 18, 2008: At June 30, 2008, National Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ Capital Market: NKSH) posted year-to-date net income of $6.65 million, or basic net income of $0.96 per share. This is a 6.3% increase over the $6.26 million in net income at June 30, 2007.
