Are National Bank deposit accounts FDIC insured?
Yes. Deposits at FDIC-insured institutions are permanently insured up to $250,000 per depositor for each account ownership category.

How do I set up Direct Deposit of my payroll check?
After your National Bank checking application has been approved, you will receive our routing and transit number and your account number. If your employer participates in a direct deposit program, simply provide this information to the human resources or payroll department, and your direct deposit will usually begin within thirty days.

Can I get account information by phone?
Yes. Account information is available from Customer Assistance during business hours at 1-800-552-4123. You can access your account information anytime over the phone with TeleBanc, our automated telephone account information system, at 1-800-981-2262.

Is interest paid on National Bank checking accounts?
Yes. Our Primeline and NOW checking accounts pay a market rate of interest.

Can I open an account if I don't live in the United States? What if I live in the United States but am not a citizen yet?
At this time, we only accept applications from customers residing within our market area. If you have questions, please contact us. We'd like to hear from you.

Can I do all of my banking with National Bank?
Yes. Thanks to the convenience of Direct Deposit, electronic transactions, TeleBanc and Internet Banking, everyday banking activities can be performed from the comfort of home.

Can I look at all of my transactions at any time?
Yes. With Internet Banking, you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

How frequently is my National Bank information updated?
National Bank updates customer information periodically throughout the business day. Whether you access your account online, visit our convenient branch offices or use TeleBanc, your account information is updated to reflect all account activity.

Are wire transfers possible to and from my National Bank checking account?
Yes. Funds can be transferred to and from National Bank accounts by wire transfer or via ACH (Automated Clearing House) debits or credits. Call our Customer Assistance at 540-951-6234 or 1-800-552-4123.

How do I make a deposit to my account from a remote location?
You can make most deposits by using Direct Deposit or National Bank ATMs. National Bank also offers a bank-by-mail service which allows you to mail non-recurring deposits. Contact us for details on a method that's best for you.

Can Businesses access account information online?
Businesses can sign up for free Internet banking service by requesting a special business application. Simply sign up by clicking on the "Internet Banking" button and registering as a first-time user.
