Mildred Johnson Elected to National Bank Board of Directors

James G. Rakes, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank, Inc., has announced the election of Mildred R. Johnson to the National Bank Board of Directors.

Ms. Johnson is the Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Virginia Tech and has been a recognized leader in higher education for more than 35 years. During her career she has held leadership positions at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Longwood University, Garner-Webb University and Averett University.

Ms. Johnson is a member of several professional organizations and is a frequent speaker on the subject of college admissions. She and her husband Rick live in Blacksburg and have two daughters.
