National Bank is pleased to announce that David K. Skeens has been named Senior Vice President and Senior Operations, Risk and Technology Officer. Mr. Skeens joined National Bank in 1990 and has served as the bank’s Auditor, Senior Vice President of Operations and Risk Management, and most recently as Chief Financial Officer.
President and CEO F. Brad Denardo commented, “David brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this new position that reflects the increasingly central role of operations, risk management and technology at our bank. He has made many important contributions throughout his thirty-two years at National Bank, and will no doubt be a tremendous asset in this crucial new position.”
Mr. Skeens earned his Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting from Radford University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He also holds Certified Financial Services Auditor and Certified Trust Auditor designations. Mr. Skeens is a past Board Member of the Lyric Theatre and is a member of the CFO Committee of the Virginia Bankers Association. He lives in Riner, Virginia with his wife, Heather, and their son, Austin.
