​Bank Card Assistant
National Bank is seeking a positive, team-oriented candidate to provide exceptional customer service to our bank customers. The successful candidate will develop a working knowledge of the Bank Card department and perform daily operational duties while providing excellent customer service.
 
Essential Duties / Responsibilities include:
  • Input debit and credit card applications
  • Data management
  • Maintaining cardholder files
  • Debit and credit card account maintenance
  • Handling customer inquiries
  • Maintain bank card balancing and reports in an organized manner
  • Process account payments and monthly reports
  • Assist customers with statement inquiries and questions related to debit and credit card transactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Compliance Assistant
National Bank is accepting applications for a full-time Compliance Assistant in Blacksburg. The successful candidate will support the Compliance Officer with regulatory research and technical assistance in the compliance area. This position will also be involved with various monitoring projects throughout the bank. Two to five years of previous banking, compliance or related experience is preferred with this position. Corporate Trainer
National Bank, a community bank in Southwest Virginia, is seeking a dynamic person to join our team as a Corporate Trainer in Blacksburg, Virginia.  We are looking for someone to develop, organize, implement, and evaluate bank-wide training programs.  This person will conduct seminars and individual training sessions.  Duties will include designing in-house training programs with department-level subject matter experts and incorporating out-of-bank training resources.  This position will present in both formal and informal settings.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years prior banking experience 
  • 2+ years experience serving as a leader, guide/facilitator, and coach in various learning environments for adults
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Day traveling in Southwest Virginia is necessary at times

Credit Review Analyst
National Bank is seeking a candidate for a full-time Credit Analyst position in Blacksburg. As an experienced analyst, you will analyze new and existing commercial loans through analysis of borrower’s credit history, financial performance, current market trends, collateral, and feasibility. Spread and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and proformas/forecasts for Commercial and Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and SBA loan requests. Identify risks/mitigants and make recommendations to senior management regarding additional credit enhancements to mitigate credit risk.  Support Loan Department by providing appraisal reviews based on third-party data and industry analysis as needed.

Required Skills:
  • General working knowledge of MS Office.
