Bank Teller

Branch Manager
National Bank, a community bank headquartered in the New River Valley, is looking for an experienced banker to manage one of our Pulaski County offices and our Radford office.  This position is responsible for the development and efficiency of a branch office to provide maximum customer service.  Will coordinate and delegate the daily management of a branch. Additional duties will include making loans and conducting business development. 
 
Applicant must have:
  • Three or more years of leadership experience including coaching, mentoring or training.
  • Two or more years of experience identifying and meeting customer needs with appropriate solutions.
  • Two or more years of experience relaying and holding others accountable for following policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills that foster inclusive, effective relationships with direct reports, customers and internal partners.
  • Ability to effectively network and represent National Bank within the community.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed or scheduled.
  Preferred qualifications:
  • Management experience recruiting, coaching, and developing three or more direct reports.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Ability to navigate computer systems and various applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Customer service, operations, or financial services management experience within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities, exercise independent judgment and use critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to the banking industry.

Customer Assistance Representative
National Bank has a job opening for a Customer Assistance Representative in our Call Center in Pulaski. Applicants should possess a friendly demeanor, motivated work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The successful candidate will develop a working knowledge of the Customer Assistance Call Center while providing excellent customer service.
 
Essential Duties / Responsibilities include:
  • Answer and process incoming calls
  • Provide customer service and troubleshooting for all eBanking services
  • Refer customer issues to other areas of bank as needed
  • Assist with other departmental functions which may include backup on technical eBanking issues and backup for daily tasks as assigned, which may include file maintenance, processing hold at bank returned mail, checking reports for new online banking customers and mail out welcome letters
  • Develop a working knowledge of compliance responsibilities including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering regulatory requirements
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel software programs is a definite plus.  This full-time position comes with health, dental, life, and long term disability insurance and a generous retirement package.  Salary commensurate with experience.
