National Bankshares, Inc. has announced the promotion of Melisa English to Human Resource Officer. Ms. English will oversee the day-to-day operations of the bank’s Human Resource department located at the Hubbard Street office in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Ms. English joined National Bank in 1999 as a Credit Review Analyst. She transferred to the Human Resource department in 2001 as an H.R. Assistant, and was promoted to Payroll Manager in 2003. In 2014 Ms. English added H.R. Generalist to her job duties, and in 2015 she was promoted to H.R. Administrator.
Ms. English is a native of Montgomery County and currently lives in Christiansburg with her husband Kevin. The couple have three daughters and five grandchildren and are members of Maranatha Baptist Church.
